Our olive oil is cold pressed in small batches from a single blend of early harvest olives grown in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. Our EVOO has a high chlorophyll content making it rich in healthy polyphenols – the antioxidants that have been proven to have anti-inflammatory and heart and brain-aiding effects.
In order to be deemed extra virgin, oil needs to have polyphenol content of 55 mg/kg. Kosterina EVOO always has polyphenol content of at least 400 mg/kg or more, as measured at the time of harvest.
Aromatic, light, rich fruity flavor with a slight peppery finish. A good, high quality, early harvest olive oil will leave a little burn at the back of the throat when consumed alone.
Where is our oil from?
