This tasty green smoothie is unique - it combines citrus fruits, antimicrobial foods like ginger, and supplements like flax and hemp seeds. Whip it up after the gym or as a refreshing start to your morning!
INGREDIENTS (Serves 2)
3 medium oranges (peeled, seeds removed)
2 cups of fresh chopped pineapple (or you can use frozen)
1 cup fresh spinach, packed
1 banana, frozen
½” inch fresh ginger peeled and roughly chopped
1 TBSP. raw honey
1 TBSP. flax meal
1 tsp. hemp seeds (optional)
To make the smoothie, place all the ingredients in a high-speed blender. Blend well until smooth and creamy, about one minute. If your smoothie is too thick, add a little orange juice or just water to thin it out and blend some more.
